SURBITON COURT FLATS 1-69 HANDBOOK

Security

Surbiton Court is in the St Mark’s Safer Neighbourhoods ward http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Kingston/StMarks. Each ward has a dedicated Ward Officer and Police Community Support Officer, who can be contacted by email at stmarks.snt@met.police.uk or by phone on 020 8721 2044. They are not, however, a 24 hour response team, so in an emergency always call 999.

Residents should be vigilant and report any concerns, or suspicious activity, to q.intruders@surbitoncourt.com or q.security@surbitoncourt.com. In an emergency always call 999.

There is also a Neighbourhood Watch initiative, please see Notices for occasional updates and local security news.

Crime Prevention Officers recommend the following precautions:

Fit window locks, particularly on ground floor windows, and on upper floors which may be easy to access by climbing, e.g. near drainpipes or balconies.

Fit mortice locks on front doors and check that doors and door frames are solid and sound.

Keep external storage cupboards locked when you are not accessing them.

Keep back doors of through passages closed and ensure that the catches are engaged.

Garage doors must be kept closed and locked. As well as a safety precaution, this is also a condition of the Lease.

Further advice on crime prevention and home security can be found at www.met.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/.
